By using the Towing Equipment Limited website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to them in full, please stop using the website immediately.

1. Definitions & Scope

“We”, “us” or “Towing Equipment” refers to Towing Equipment Limited.
“You” or “Customer” refers to any person or entity using this website to purchase goods.
These Terms apply to all online orders placed via www.towingequipment.ie.

2. Payment & Security

We accept credit and debit cards through our secure payment gateway, Realex Payments (www.realexpayments.com).
All sensitive information is transmitted using SSL encryption. Look for the padlock symbol in your browser.
We do not store credit/debit card information on our servers. Our systems comply with PCI Security Council standards.
Payment is taken at the time of order unless otherwise stated.

3. Pricing & VAT

All prices on the website include VAT at the standard rate (23%).
Towing Equipment Limited is registered for VAT in Ireland. All invoices display our VAT number.
Prices are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to correct errors and pricing mistakes.

4. Stock & Availability

We maintain large stocks, but in rare cases an item may be unavailable.
If an item is out of stock, we will notify you and give the option to cancel or place the order on back order.
Using the “Notify Me” feature signals that you want to be informed by email when the product is back in stock.
Note: The notification is not a reservation and availability is not guaranteed.
We cannot guarantee all stock notifications will reach you; please act promptly when notified.

5. Delivery

We deliver to Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland only.
Delivery addresses cannot be changed once an order is processed. Deliveries cannot be made to PO Box addresses.
Delivery instructions and a contact phone number are recommended for smooth delivery.
Goods must be signed for at the delivery address. Leaving items unsigned is at the customer’s risk, and we accept no liability for damage or loss in these cases.
Next day delivery orders are processed via DPD Ireland for orders in stock placed before 3pm.
Delivery is not available on weekends or bank holidays. Estimated delivery will be the next working day, unless otherwise stated.
Standard next day delivery costs €10 (VAT included). Larger items may incur higher delivery charges or require collection; this is displayed on the product page and in your cart.
Collection from Premises
Orders can be collected from 51 Elm Road, Western Industrial Estate, Dublin 12 by selecting ‘Collect from Premises’.
Goods can be collected on the following working day, 9:15 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Proof of purchase (order confirmation) and ID are required to collect goods.

6. Shortages, Damaged or Faulty Goods

Notify us within 5 days of receipt of any shortages, faulty, or damaged items.
We are not liable for labour costs associated with installation or removal of allegedly faulty items.
Faulty or incorrect items are eligible for full refund or replacement, including return shipping costs.

7. Returns & Consumer Rights

Consumer Returns (Online Orders)
Retail customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving goods, in accordance with EU and Irish consumer law.
To qualify for a refund:
Items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging.
Items must be returned in resaleable condition.
Proof of purchase (invoice or order details) must be included.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for non-faulty items.
Refunds may be reduced if goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them.
Trade Customers
Trade purchases are excluded from consumer cooling-off rights.
Returns, exchanges, or cancellations for trade customers are only accepted with prior written approval from Towing Equipment Limited.
Trade returns may be subject to a restocking charge, and return shipping costs will be agreed on a case-by-case basis.
Terms for trade accounts, including credit limits and payment terms, are set out in each individual trade account agreement.
Special-Order & Custom Items
Items that are custom-made, personalised, fitted, or specially ordered are non-returnable unless faulty.

8. Refunds

Consumer Refunds
Refunds for returned consumer items will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receipt and inspection.
Refunds include standard delivery costs if the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied.
Refunds may be reduced proportionally if items have been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them.
Depending on your payment provider, it may take a few days for the refund to appear as cleared funds in your account.
Trade Customer Refunds
Refunds for trade returns are only issued in accordance with the trade account agreement and any prior written approval from Towing Equipment Limited.
Trade refunds may be subject to restocking charges or other agreed deductions, and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the trade customer unless otherwise agreed.
The timing of refunds for trade accounts will be as specified in the individual trade account terms.

9. Guarantee

Product guarantees vary; some items have specific manufacturer guarantees.
Example: Brink Towbars carry a lifetime guarantee.
Guarantee details are provided on the product page or in accompanying documentation.

10. Workshop Services, Installation & Fitment

Any installation, fitment, or other work carried out by Towing Equipment Limited on a customer’s vehicle is done at the customer’s risk.
We take reasonable care during all work, but Towing Equipment Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damage to vehicles or property.
Customers must ensure vehicles are in a suitable condition for installation, including access, safety, and readiness.
Labour guarantees, if any, are provided explicitly at the time of booking or on the invoice.
Payment for services is due in full upon completion, unless a written agreement specifies otherwise.
Any parts supplied and fitted follow the standard product guarantee, but does not extend to labour unless explicitly stated.

11. Cookies & Website Use

The website uses cookies to monitor browsing preferences and analyse traffic.
Cookies do not give us access to your computer or personal information, other than what you provide.
You can accept or decline cookies via your browser settings; declining may affect some site functionality

12. Limitation of Liability

We take care to supply goods in excellent condition, but are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including installation costs.
Our liability for faulty goods is limited to repair, replacement, or refund.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Irish law.
Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Irish courts.
